Saturday Josh planned a surprise trip to Bloomington which is about 2 hours south of us. The weather was wonderful. We stopped by Crawfordsville for lunch and then made the drive to Oliver Winery outside of Bloomington. It's the biggest winery in Indiana and its apparently always crazy busy on Saturdays. It's also a small park where people can come to picnic and grab a bottle of wine to enjoy. The gardens are beautiful and there is some stone statue things at the entrance. We tasted a bit and took the short tour. Then we headed downtown to IU campus and wondered around. The campus is lovely, full of hills and trees and nice old buildings. Much nicer than Purdue and leaps ahead of Western. There was a battle of the bands going on right outside the sample gates that are pictured so we had some dinner outside and just enjoyed the nice day and busy campus.
