Zoo Time

We are luckily to have a really nice zoo near us. It's the Columbian Park Zoo and it's about 5 blocks away. Best thing is, it's free. Plus, for being free, it has really good animals. We've been twice already, and it opened 2 weeks ago. Although not all the animal are out yet. I went on the very last day in the fall and they had the monkeys, prairie dogs, and gibbons out too. Also with those they have a porcupine, 3 Lynx, 2 bald eagles, otters, lemurs, snakes, birds, a llama, tons of goats, mini ponies, and a few other ones.

Christina's dad got us a friends of the zoo membership, so it's cool that it helps them out. We're thinking of sponsoring an animal or 2. It's only $25 each, and you get a little stuffed animal of the one you're helping, a certificate, photo, and some other things. It feels good to help them out since it's free and really nice.

The only downside is all the stupid people and all their stupid kids. I'm not just being mean, they're really idiots. When in the farm area, and the goats are getting up on their hind legs and head butting each other, you don't tell your kid to go pet the goat and take their photo, that's just stupid. But since it's free, a lot of stupid people are there.

Kitty!

Prince Charming the Llama. We might sponsor him. He came up all quiet like next to Christina and then she turned and he was there, scared her a bit. But he was more interested in the porcupine.

Is the goat looking at her lovingly, or thinking how he can eat her sweatshirt?

Now go tell you kid to hop in their for a photo, smart.... Notice the goat on the left only has 2 feet on the ground.... that just screams safety

Love the girl's face in this one. Such amazement at battling goats.

This things were so close, i could have reached out and grabbed it. No cage at the top, just a fence, All of the animal are like that. I could dip my hand into the prairie dogs and grab one if i wanted.

I like his little fluff head

Another great photo of Christina. I took it while swing next to her, took about 30 shots to get one good one.

Relaxing on the top of some playground equipment. Safety!
